Transitional Housing

Avalon maintains several scattered site transitional houses in both the Williamsburg and Middle Peninsula areas to assist with the transition out of the shelter and back into the community. Transitional housing residents are able to access most of the same services that shelter residents have access to, from basic needs to case management, counseling, legal advocacy, and support. Avalon staff work with these residents to help move them toward self-sufficiency, and obtain critical services and support needed to move toward more permanent housing situations.
